” FIDA will be hosting an Immersive Fashion Arts exhibition during it’s LIVE show in Miami with @istitutomarangoni_miami . Openings for both shows will be 05.07.2021. What a great achievement for all our members and new collaborators. We will have a series of live talks, debates and discussions with press and artists throughout the shows duration. ” This project would probably be the first performance in which I rediscover who I am. I mean; The fact is that I don’t know if this LAPIS LAZULI Tribe is the most important I have ever done, but I am absolutely convinced of the SOUL that all of them evoke. The roots of the Family are made from BLUE STONE, the first-class pigment that I Adore. During the last centuries the use of its blue hues has been redefined through music, art and fashion, becoming one of the most POPULAR shades of the sea color. Its origin is properly Divine, it was considered the color of the Virgin and the essence of Heaven ” (@montserratsalvat).

Ultramarine is a deep blue color pigment which was originally made by grinding lapis lazuli into a powder. The name comes from the Latin ultramarinus, literally “beyond the sea”, because the pigment was imported into Europe from mines in Afghanistan by Italian traders during the 14th and 15th centuries.
The pigment consists primarily of a zeolite-based mineral containing small amounts of polysulfides. It occurs in nature as a proximate component of lapis lazuli containing a blue cubic mineral called lazurite. In the Colour Index International, the pigment of ultramarine is identified as P. Blue 29 77007.
Ultramarine was the finest and most expensive blue used by Renaissance painters. It was often used for the robes of the Virgin Mary, and symbolized holiness and humility. It remained an extremely expensive pigment until a synthetic ultramarine was invented in 1826.
